Why did we create the Future Human School?
Who are we?
We’re a group of passionate parents and educators with experience in worldschooling, teaching, and business. We've created a warm, local community here in Bali and we are open and welcome to families looking to do life and education differently. ❤️ 🏝️.
Why did we create the Future Human Schooll?
The future looks increasingly uncertain for our future humans. Traditional paths are not serving job seekers today, let alone when our young people mature.
While the industrialised school system still has merits for some children, it's not the only path for all.
As families we’ve been exploring alternative paths since 2017 - and set off across the world since 2020 trying every type of schooling across every continent. What did we find? 100s of options for primary age children. But few at secondary level.
In the search we found each other and lots of other families searching too.
Our experience inside and outside the traditional school system gave us a unique perspective to recognise the limitations of only choosing only grades over personal growth in a rapidly changing world where lifelong careers no longer exist or are fulfilling.
Passion and purpose means more in this digital revolution. Fun. Freedom. Fulfillment. Viewing life as a series of purposeful projects is the new way of living and being.
So we created it for our own children. And it seems we have hit the right note.
Future Human School empowers young people to move into a project based world. Where creativity, connection, collaboration, community and confidence are the human touchpoints with tech integration not tech dependence.
We created this school because we believe the future needs something different, a bold, Future Human education that empowers our young people and others with the skills, values, and mindset to thrive in a changing world
Why Bali?
The right environment for young people to learn and families to thrive is critical. If you have visited Bali you will have found yourself enchanted with the people's ability to connect back to the human, spiritual and natural ways of being. They even have a name for it: Tri Hita Karana - the three causes of well being.
In this lush, vibrant, natural environment young people and their families can connect to what truly matters.
Learning, living and discovering all the opportunities of the people, places and community we have established in Bali.
Education and Preparation for life in Bali and Beyond.
